A Stake Blackjack shoe is a standard 52-card deck shuffled by HMAC-SHA256 over your server seed, client seed and nonce. The shuffle order is fixed before a single card is dealt, and cards come off the top of that order as the hand plays out - your two cards, the dealer's, and any hits.
Because the whole deck order is determined by the seed pair, every card is reproducible. The pre-committed hashed server seed means the casino cannot reorder the shoe mid-hand; once you rotate seeds and reveal the server seed, the entire deal can be rebuilt and checked.
Stake Blackjack pays 3:2 on a natural and follows standard dealer rules, giving a house edge near 0.5% with correct basic strategy - among the lowest of any house game. The fairness here is about the deck order, which the seed pair fixes in advance; the edge comes from the rules, not from any tampering with the shuffle.

Basic strategy - the mathematically optimal hit/stand/double/split chart - cuts the edge to about 0.5%, the best math in the lobby, but it still leaves a small edge that no system overcomes. Provably-fair shuffling reshuffles every hand from the seed, so card counting does not apply the way it would to a continuous physical shoe. The verifier proves the deal was honest, nothing more.
