Stake Chicken is a cross-the-road game: each step forward raises your multiplier, and a hidden hazard ends the run. The hazard positions are set from HMAC-SHA256 over your server seed, client seed and nonce before you take a single step, and your difficulty setting controls how often hazards appear.
Because the road is bound to the seed pair, every step is reproducible. The hashed server seed is the commitment; once revealed on rotation, the whole road can be rebuilt and the run confirmed step by step.
Higher difficulty means more hazards per step but larger multiplier jumps; easier modes advance more reliably for smaller gains. The house edge is about 1%, for an RTP near 99%, and multipliers compound with each safe step - so long crossings pay steeply but get less likely the further you go.

Chicken is a step-by-step risk game where each safe step shares the same ~1% edge, so cashing out after a few steps versus chasing a long crossing is a variance choice, not an edge choice. There is no learnable safe pattern - the road is a seed-driven layout. The verifier proves the road was honest, not which step is safe next.
